Autism and Aspergers
Autistic children love working with computers, but can be easily overwhelmed with too many graphics and sounds. LetterLearn keeps animation and sound to a minimum while still engaging children with Autism in the learning activities.
Down Syndrome
Many educational software programs and games are too complex for Down Syndrome children. Mistakes are often allowed to become habits. LetterLearn focuses on the correct answer even when mistakes are made, so that the learning is errorless. Use Find the First Letter mode and they only have to type one letter to be rewarded!
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD / ADD)
Children with ADHD (also known as ADD) are easily distracted from learning activities. LetterLearn runs full-screen so students are not distracted by other programs. If children become distracted by something away from the computer, LetterLearn uses voice prompts to draw the student's attention back in and type the next letter.
